Case Studies

Customer-oriented complete solutions for the preservation of the exhaust energy, to convert the pollutants into clean air form the basis of the company. Solution by insulating half-shells welded to the exhaust-gas-bearing components or applied via a rabbet joint. Special honeycombed stainless steel foil combined with the suitable insulating mat gives a tailor-made solution for any application. For every temperature range we´ve got the ideal insulation set.

Wendt - Automotive used worldwide

Our top trained project managers process your orders completely at our Frankenthal site. Beginning with the thermal calculation of insulation strength and the construction with solid works, to the choice of materials, everything is down to the skills of our employees. Wendt - Automotive Isolierungen also has its own tool construction as well as a measuring room for quality assurance of our products directly on the site. Our production volumes go from a single prototype to serial production of 1,000+ units per week.

Wendt - Automotive Isolierungen provides everything from a single source: integral insulation as well as insulated moulded components and engine linings and heat protective plates.

This is a vibration consistent system in which the exhaust gas constituents are supplied directly with the insulating material. A shaped stainless steel foil serves for surface protection and component differentiation. Ideally suited for most advanced emissions regulations.

Application:
All vehicle categories, rail, marine and stationary areas

Stainless steel foils:

  • Goods: 1.4301, 1.4828, 1.4571, 1.4016 further ones on request
  • Thickness: 0.1-0.3mm
  • Area of application: up to up to 1100°C for short 1800°C
  • Structures: calotte or coarse grain

Insulating materials:
For each exhaust gas temperature up to up to 1000°C for short 1600°C, the correct insulation material in appropriate goods and material thickness.

This is a system, in which insulating material pad the impregnated with a mineral tie is introduced by hand in multiple layers.

Application:
CHPs, stationary engines and vehicles with closed construction areas

Attachments:
Tie strap and lock

Insulating materials:
For each exhaust gas temperature up to 1000 °C, the correct insulation material in appropriate goods and material thickness.

This is a vibration consistent system, in which the technical fabrics are processed into a mattress filled with insulation material. There are different possibilities for the fixture.

Application:
CHPs, railway, marine, stationary engines and vehicles with closed construction areas.

Surface coating:
Aluminium, PU, silicone or teflon

Attachments:
Hook and wire, steel springs, belts and buckles, Velcro closure, poppers.

Insulating materials:
For each exhaust gas temperature up to 1000 °C, the correct insulation material in appropriate goods and material thickness.

This is a vibration consistent system in which the carrier is directly attached to the exhaust gas components or in the surrounding area. This thus acts as a touch guard, and protects the surrounding components from heat radiation.

Application:
All vehicle categories, rail, marine and stationary areas

Carrier variations:
Laser and bent parts, deep-drawn parts, with and without integral insulation

Insulating materials:
For each exhaust gas temperature up to 1000 °C, the correct insulation material in appropriate goods and material thickness.
